Wear comfortable clothing that can be easily lifted to hip level or removed (shorts, sweatpants).
If the study is repeated (e.g., for treatment monitoring), bring previous images.
Procedure steps
Imaging from hip joint to feet for leg length measurement.
Patient removes shoes and stands barefoot on a special platform.
Imaging is done standing, with natural weight on both legs.
The machine takes a panoramic image from pelvis to feet in one or several projections (frontal, lateral).
Remain still for 3–5 seconds until exposure is complete.
Requirements:
For orthography, accept patients if only film is required by the doctor (without angle measurement).
Orthography is not performed with the Ilizarov apparatus.
Patients are imaged preoperatively; postoperatively, if metal/Ilizarov device is installed — not imaged.
Orthography and scolio-gram cannot be performed on the same day due to high radiation. Split into 1–2 days.
