No special preparation is required.
On the day of the study, wear comfortable clothing without metal elements (buttons, zippers, fasteners).
Preferably perform on an empty stomach in the morning, especially for lumbar imaging, to avoid gas and artifacts.
1–2 days before the study, avoid foods that cause bloating (legumes, carbonated drinks, raw vegetables, bread).
If a lumbar scolio-gram is planned, the doctor may recommend an enema or taking a sorbent if indicated.
Procedure steps
Before the procedure, remove outer clothing and jewelry in the back and neck area. The patient stands in front of the machine.
One or several images of the entire spine are taken (usually in frontal and lateral projections).
It is important to remain still during imaging — this takes a few seconds.
Images are immediately displayed on the radiologist’s monitor for analysis.

Strictly by referral only.
Performed from 7 years old, strictly by referral.
Description is provided on request for patients up to 16 years old (inclusive). From 17 years old, only the film is issued without description.
Orthography and scolio-gram cannot be performed on the same day due to high radiation load. Split into 1–2 days.
